The first thing that got my attention was the motive of not only unscared but also quite mischevious and even extortive? little kid and the demonesque creature who seems to be in a rather awkward position by the looks of it. Though I find it hard to discern the actual scenario in the picture I really like the whole composition because it seems to have captured the fact that children can also be rather evil even in contrast to monsters themselves. At least that's what the little girl's confident face tells me, since it does not seem the standard good vs. bad climax fight.
Overall the color and tone atmosphere is also well chosen or at least it seems to work for this particular scenario. I miss more pronounced light/shadow play on the charachters and their immediate surrounding...oh...thats tentacles....well...on the charachters. For the sake of depth and to be able to focus on the charachters more, since now they somehow seem to melt with the background. So maybe just more shadow/light play would make up for the use of overall homogenous tones and colors over the image.
Anyways, in short, I like it, in terms of idea certainly one of your better pics.
I give 3.5 points for technique because I like your style but I am a fan of detailed works and here you could invest more into the picture.
I give 3.5 for impact because the main scene seems to melt too much with the whole picture.
