So here is a intro magazine spread I did for my graphic design class. I will have to be quite honest in that I don't like graphic design but at least I was allowed to do a subject I liked for this project.
Very well done, I really like Lovecraft's stuff, though I haven't read much of it. And as much as I dislike racists, he's too good of a writer, I even enjoyed his poem "On the Creation of Niggers"
I can sympathize about the whole racist thing but from my research he often seemed very mixed up about it. I think his real beef was about immigration in general because at the time they came in droves and caused a lot of problems like increased poverty due to strain on resources and the increase of crime that comes from such huge immigrations. You also have to look where he was born and what kind of society he was born into. Now I am not justifying his racist opinions but I feel from my research he really was a product of his time but he could have grown out of it had he had the time and opportunities. Heck for a time he was married to a Jewish girl although their marriage didn't last but that had nothing to do with racism. Actually toward the end of his life he did a lot of traveling and he really started to change but sadly he died from intestinal cancer because he didn't take care of himself properly.
